Shortage of pilots has been bothering Indian carriers for sometime now, but Air India seems to have found out a quick fix solution.
The Maharaja is now visiting colleges, picking up BSc students and after a quick pilot aptitude test, the national carriers will offer the students a pilot training abroad.

Dear Sir,
Am a NCC c cert holder.I have done some 30+ hours of flying in microlite (ZENAIR).Couldn’t make it in the PABT conducted be the defence.But i don’t think that test decides if i can be a pilot or not.I have a firm believe that i can make a good pilot.Please respond and we shall take it forward from there.

Its my dream to become the most talented pilot and i have caliber . Just to let you know that we are a Flight Training Accademy in Spain, who covers all types of pilot training from Private Pilots Licence, all the way through to a full airline pilots licence. These can be done as an integrated course or as a modular course (bit by bit), which means that you can spread the cost. The weather is great here, so we fly virtually every day and costs are cheaper tha the UK, for instance. Obviously with a JAA licence, your chances of getting a job with the airlines here is much higher. succesfully get the SPL licence.Now a days i am preparing
for the PPL.

dis is Guruchetan Virdi… dis is to inform u dat by gods grace I/we(ppl in ma AI batch) have made it to final confirmed list of AI cadet pilot selection.so ll try tellin u the de process of selection.out of approx 7600 applications,5580 were shortlisted fr written test(cn minus arnd 800 fr dose who were absent durin written test also :)) which ws on 14 jan07., out of which arnd 400 made it to intv/psych test, out of which arnd 180 fr pabt and medicals, out of which finally arnd 85 made it to final confirmed list despite the vacancies being 150, guess they don compromise on even a single thing.

I have posted my queries in this site twice prior to this but there has been no reply.If you get to know anything about the program in near future do post it in this site. I am writing this to you because I have faced the same situation as yours. Attended AFSB a lotof times and not recommended.And since then dreaming of some other alternative to fulfil my ambition. Am a 4th year[8th sem] B.Tech[Aeronautical Engineering] cum AME[final sem, Mechanical stream] student , pursuing in bangalore. I really got a passion towards flying since my 6th grade.Due to some financial crisis i couldnt do it after the completion of my +2.I still believe that the time has yet dint crept down and i can make it even now because this confidence had made me to reach up to this altitude.I belive that i do have a strong aeronautical background and it will be very easy for me to understand all the ground classes of piloting.
Also i do have 2 years of live aircraft maintenance [A/Cs of cessna 180H,188,340 & ZENAIR CH 601,701]experience in an aerodrome in bangalore other than my ab-initio training from my AME institute.
I have also got few hours of flying training in ZENAIR CH 701 from NCC as i was a cadet in the NCC.
Kindly please take my letter in to your consideration and please inform the date for the aptitude test and the venue along with the fees[if applicable].
