Over the last few years, the number of airlines criss-crossing the Indian skies has increased manifold. Simultaneously, air travel has much more affordable; if you book enough in advance, flying no longer causes a dent in your pocket.
As a result of this increase in air travel, and in the number of airlines, the demand for pilots have increased as well, both in the domestic and international sectors.
In fact, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel expects the Indian aviation industry to create 40 lakh jobs in the next 10 years. He feels that, after IT, ITeS and telecom, the aviation industry is the next growth area that will open a lot of opportunities for youngsters.
