AAI approves land for Amritsar cargo centre

In order to promote import and export at Raja Sansi International Airport, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has agreed to hand over 10,000 square metres of land to the Council of Value Added Horticulture to establish a Permanent Perishable Cargo Centre.

The Punjab government had given its nod for establishing a modern perishable cargo complex at Rs 25 crore for the export of vegetables, fruits and other items.
