Countdown begins for PSLV-C7 launch

Countdown has begun for the launch of India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C7 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Nellore district, slated at 9.23 am on January 10, ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair announced here on Monday.

The 44 metre tall PSLV-C7 would launch four payloads – India’s 680 kg highly agile Cartosat-2, a 550 kg space capsule recovery experiment SRE-1, a 56 kg Indonesian satellite Lapan-Tubsat and a six kg Argentinian’s Pehuensat-I into a 635 km high polar sun synchronous orbit, the ISRO chief told reporters.
