Ground handling draft policy sent to Cabinet

The civil aviation ministry has finalised the draft policy on ground handling which seeks to bring in at least three players to offer these services at airports across India, civil aviation minister Praful Patel said on Thursday. This will lead to more competition in the Rs.1,000-crore market for ground-handling and lead to improvement in the quality of services available to airlines and passengers. The note is likely to be sent to the Union Cabinet early next year for approval.
