Met meter adds to airport agony

The CAT III-B system paralysed by a dysfunctional met machine ensured that Wednesday, the second day of fog at the city’s IGI Airport, was as chaotic as day one.

Passengers remained clueless and miserable although the fog lifted by 10 am, an hour earlier than Tuesday, and DGCA issued fresh directives to airlines and the airport to give information to passengers on time and accord priority to CAT III-B compliant aircraft.

With the met department announcing that the fog cover is here to stay, the agony of air travellers is going to get prolonged.
