Aerodrome India to be held in Delhi from Dec 7

Aerodrome India 2006, the second edition of the international exhibition and seminar on airport infrastructure and security, will be held from December 7-9 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

The exhibition is expected “to provide a platform for manufacturers of hardware/software related to airspace management, airport operations and security, foreign vendors supplying systems, equipment to the Airports Authority of India and private airlines to interact and network with key decision makers such as the Government of India, the CEOs of greenfield airports under development as well as the CEOs of major international airports under modernisation.”

According to a press release, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has embarked on modernisation/upgradation of airports that entails investments of billions of dollars. The Ministry plans to modernise 25 non-metro airports in the second phase upgrade 30 non-metro airports in the third phase. Aerodrome India will help airport authorities and operators identify modern products and services and also provide an interactive platform between vendors, authorities and airlines.
