More pursers on the flight path now

There isn’t anything that a man can’t do. Inflight hospitality included! No wonder the number of pursers, male counterparts of an air hostess, working for various Indian airlines is increasing.

The air hostess training institutes, which were once thronged by women, have reported an increase in the number of men enrolling for the inflight hospitality courses.

Thanks to the higher demand for cabin crew members, dearer compensation packages and the glamour quotient which is attracting metrosexuals to this field. According to Centre for Asia Pacific Management (CAPA), the 10 Indian airlines together account for 292 aircraft.
