Agni-III second launch by early next year

The long range Agni-III missile, whose maiden test flight on July 9 failed, will now be test fired again from the Wheeler Island off the Bhubaneswar coast in early 2007.

“The causes for the `failure’ of the July 9 flight have been thoroughly studied, understood and we are confident of going ahead with the second launch,” said Dr Avinash Chander, Director of the Advanced Systems Laboratory.
