The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Indian Air Force (IAF) officials are said to be working over time to release the Request For Proposal (RFP) of the IAF Multi Role Combat Aircraft (MRCA) Order.
Final touches are being given to the critical ‘Offsets’ clause, reports the ‘Business Standard’.
The RFP is to be released before the March 31st deadline given by Defence Minister A.K. Anthony at the just concluded Aero India 2007 event.
“The RFP is in the final stages of (preparation) and it will come at the earliest,” he had told the media persons at a press conference.

I dont think it will be released soon. It seems that government is doing some sort of hide and seek……….Some people expect it to by June 2007. Any way i expect it to be split deal b/w Mig 35 and F-18
